	Natalie Imbruglia - Glorious This is a luverly song from a luverly artist. Its good to hear from Nat again. This is off the forthcoming singles collection which I can't wait for. A top 10 smash!!!
	Ocean Colour Scene - I Told You So very melodic and in touch with the current crop of indie / pop bands. It could easily be something delvered by the Fratellis or kooks. It has also got some gentler reminders of their rockier earlier tracks and at times the guitar riffs stray off course into a more 60's, 'The Who' sound, but only very momentarily. Also of note is it's very short. So good song, but they're not giving too much away here about the album potential.
	Paolo Nutini - Rewind Great guy with a gret voice (this review sounds a bit like Louis walsh) anyway a great song too.The album is ok as well so worth picking it up for crimbo.
	Simon Webb - Coming around again I liked the ex-blue singers last album, and this new single off his new album is just as good, a bit lighthouse family-esq but super non the less. a good up lifting tune.
	Klaxons - Magick New Rave or not the Klaxons are one of the hottest new act in town. Magick has shuffled around from evening to day-time radio coverage making this release a guarenteed hit. The prodigy like beats will be a bit too heavy for some, but it's fun and will sell in shed loads anyway because it's cool! Magick Video
	James Morrison - Wonderful World A great song a nd a great voice, this is one of the best singles i've heard released this year - utter class
	Yummy Bingham- Come Get It feat. Jadakiss 19-year old Yummy Bingham is the godchild of both R&B legend Chaka Khan and “New Jack Swing King” Aaron Hall. Catchy dance track with good vocals and strong beats - more of a grower than an instant hit
	Moby featuring Debbie Harry This is a track added to the Moby greatest hits album. Its not a bad track, it doesnt have that Moby style that we all know and love, and it also a bit different from Debbie's usual stuff, so a meeting somewhere in the musical middle has happened. As a track on its own its great, good lyrics and a great track to remix and dance too. If you are a big Moby fan this will take a couple of plays but it gets good after than.
	Ray LaMontagne - How Come How come is the second single from LaMontagnes debut album - Trouble. This is artist is 'Hot' and the album sold over 350,000 copies in his native US. He's got a very easy and natural voice, used here to deliver a catchy, well crafted pop track.
	Nathan - Cold as Ice Nothing special this, at first glance thought it was a remix of the toothpaste advert but sadly not. Decidedly average R&B track this, with below par production.
	Terri Walker - I AM This song isn't a twinkle in my eye!. Very bland and mono, an easily forgetable song.
	Mighty Six Ninety - Keeping you in mind This is a bit better, a bit whiney though but it has a 80's type of feel. Not bad!!!
	Supermode - Tell me Why Gay pop lives - Hurrah!!!!!! top remix this track - worthy of a high chart place.
	Jose Gonzalez - Hand on your heart THis is another nice tune, soft, gently and very meilodic. not a chart buster but should do ok.
	Iain Archer - We love you This is a nice little ditty, quite light and floaty, don't think it will be a big hit but nice all the same.
	Aeroplanes - This Is My Love Good single from upcoming, connected and rated Liverpool band. They've got a laid back late 60's sound. Sometimes Beatle-ish, other times rock psychedelia, Kula Shker-ish.Whatever they sound like, the point is they sound goood!
	Little Man Tate - What? What you got, Mellow start with psychedelic edges, building to a power ballad chorus. Second track 'Yound Offenders' is completely different - much more 'hard-fi' / Artic Monkey's. It's an explosive combination showcasing a big talent.
	Echo & The Bunnymen - Scissors in the Sand A return to form for the Bunnymen. It's a little less new wave and a bit more rock orientated, but instantely recognisable as the bunneymen. swirling guitars and cutting rythms, short verses and catchy chorus, although it drifts a bit at the end.
	Kubb continue celebrating their debut album reaching Gold sales status. “Remain” was given a low-key release last summer and is se to be re-released. And a good job too as it's a little gem. Nice guitar work and a tight single all round. Mellow vocals with an oveall pop rock feel.
	Massari - Be Easy New Canadian urban artist doing quite well over the water. Musically it's like a smoother version of 'Apache Indian and not too bad after a couple of plays'.Image wise, he seriously looks like he's in love with himself.
	Pink - Stupid Girls Great single. Catchy, and with tongue cheek dig at 'stupid girls'. Definite hit
	Zero7 - Throw it all away mmm not sure about this, it starts off very week but then peaks and dies again. Its nicely produced but i'm not certain if it will hit the top 20. The band have put out better in the past so I would say this is an average single without any wow factors
	Katie Mellua - Spiders Web This is a better offering than the 80 million squillion bicycle thing that was really irritating. A nice meaningful song performed superbly by old Kitty Maloo! This should hit the dizzy heights of the top 20 at least.
	Demeter - Addict This is a bit of a dirty/sleezy song and so is the lead singer by the looks of the vid. Its not a bad song but I don't know if it will become a huge hit. Great vid though.
	Keysha Cole - I changed my mind Wish she had changed her mind and not recorded this song - its just the same old same old.
	Natasha Sohl - Naked Natasha Sohl, Naked ? no there's a thought, but that aside not a bad track actually haven't heard nay of her previous stuff but this isn't bad.
	Sugababes - Red dress Well we all thought the band would dissolve when Mutya left, but oh no, new memeber, new single and a top sound too. This is classic babes and is very good - worthy of a top 10 position.
	Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We’re Going Down With a pitch-perfect mix of pop sensibility, punk-layered undertones and a whole lot of hard rock melodies – 2006 is set to be a big year for the lads. This single has already had lots of airplay.
	I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor - Arctic Monkeys Great single from Sheffields next big thing. It sounds live and is full of energy.
	Sons of Dork - Eddie's Song Ex Busted, James Bourne, scores agein with Sons of Dork. Yes there are very much like Busted, but what's wrong with that. In fact they are slightly more edgier and probably apeal to an older age group. This song rocks - well that's what most 9 year olds will tell you anyway
	McFly - Ballad of Paul K / Ultraviolet The ballad is not one for rocling inthe isles - obviously - but it is a more reflective look at mid-life crisis - nice eh! Ultraviolet is the stomping tune and and so between them this double 'A' side should be a hot ontender for the crimbo number 1
	UB40 - Who you fighting for UB40 are one of those bands that get better and better. Just listening to their greatest hits. There are classics from the early days, but there is some solid great tracks all the way through 'Who you fighting for' is in the same mold although a little 'summery' for this time of year!
	The Strokes -Juicebox Hi energy in your face song with trademark vocals and and guitar. Its the first single from the forthcoming 'First Impressions of Earth' album (Jan 06)
	Hard-Fi - Cash Machine Ska / clash type influences, sounds brilliant in a retro way. Classy track which is a re-release and fan favourite.
	Sugababes - Ugly This is the second single from there number 1 album, 'Taller in more ways' and is another classy number , that's a bit of a grower. It lacks the edge of singles such as 'freak like me' but is still very pop orientated.
	The Futureheads - Area The Futureheads finishe the year in grat style with the release of new Ep - Aream which has proved a favourite throughout there recent gigs. 	Korn - Twisted Transistor Catchy single from Korn with chainsaw riffs and dark grungy metal, however the twist is that it's a dancefloor filler, with angular keyboards and edgy samples.Korn playing is safe here - is it metal, dance or both - anyway it sounds ok! video at http://exodus.interoutemediaservices.com/?id=862e3941-6b9a-4d5c-b4a2-04999bbf00cb&delivery=stream
	The Darkness - One way ticket to hell and back Well thankfully this isn't a one way ticket, its definately a return and how! This is a superb return single from the boys - can't wait for the album - SUPERB!
	Arcade Fire - Wake Up Wake up is the fourth single to be taken from Arcade Fire's debut album 'Funeral' which has now gone gold in the UK. They're proving to be a band to be reckoned with now and this single helps you to undestand as it builds up to a pacey yet well layered number that grows with each play.
	Goldfrapp - Number 1 softly crooned in seductive tones, this electro pop tune is understated but quite catchy.
	The Rakes 22 Grand JOb Catchy humourous retro new wave from the Rakes. Great lyrics infectious chrous
	Rasmus - Sail Away mellow and slow burning with anthemic chorus from the Helsinki goth rockers
	McAlistair - Here there & Everything McAlistair, have spent the last couple of years as Birmingham's best kept secret, but are now attracting a strong following. This rock band are formed around singer Danny McAllister. This single is classic rock, precise and tight, with hints of very early U2.
	Sugarmonkey - So far too late Described as "prog mosh edgy anglo-american stadium rock with buzz saw guitars" - well I don't know what that is, but what I do know is that a pretty good indie / rock single, with plenty of fepth. Track 2 Neverending is more uptempo but again tight and passionate.
	Mohair - End of the Line This is the second single to be taken from the forthcoming album 'Small Talk'. It's a poppy but fussy song with trumpets & piano and the like. It's enegetic and refreshing and could be a grower.
	Nu Starr - Kep Holding On This is one of those tracks that is perfect for extended play. Nice easy beats, catchy lyrics, great melody. Nu Starr have been described as uk r&b/ contemporary gospel collective. This single is fronted by Soul Divas Milen& Adiam featurng the skills of New York Hip Hop . Rapper "Slic One & UK singer "Shereen Crystal". Well Iuckily you don't need to remember any of thoses names - just enjoy a great dance track
	Depeche Mode - Precious The guys are back - big time, this is a superb single there bes for ages. This is pure Depeche Mode!
	Franz Ferdinand - Do you want to This is quite catchy but standard fayre from FF. It's the usual catchy chorus and witty lyrics.So if you've liked anything they've done so far then you'll like this one too.
	Kate Bush - Ariel this is the long awaited single from the queen of British music, and it is superb. It seems to be a logical follow-on to the red shoes - can't wait for the album
	Sugababes - push the button This is a good strong comeback single from the girls, and they are looking and sounding classier than ever before. This is a slightly different sound for the babes but excellent non the less. They can push my button anytime.
	Jamie Cullum Get Your Way Wow - I didn't know that Jamie Callum was the UK's biggest selling jazz artist ever! This is a fairly catchy Jazz, funk, pop combination that hits all the right spots. It was written by hip-hop DJ Dan the Automater, but the there's minimal hip - hop influence on the track. Overall - a sure hit!
	Pussycat Dolls - Don't cha! This is a hot little track, which will get you shaking your parts to. And maybe wondering the what if question yourself. Mind you the dolls do look a bit rough around the edges - so think long and hard. Hot tune though!
	Simple Paln - Untitled (how could this happen to me) ‘Untitled’ is taken from the band’s second album Still Not Getting Any… that was released to critical acclaim in February 2005, and the song is a very personal look at what happens when tragedy hits close to home. It's an effective ballad track, that takes a couple of plays to grow
	Peyton -I’ll Rise/A Higher Place I’ll Rise/A Higher Place’ - l lyrics from an African poem by Maya Angelou, originally performed by the legendary Ben Harper. Peyton’s I’ll Rise takes the dark original version’s themes of emancipation, freedom, dignity and triumph and sets it to an infectious dance track - and we agree it's mellow and uplifting. This is then followed by the classic 'higher place'.- all is good.
	Oasis - The Importance of Being Idle v Crazy Frog - Popcorn Standard Oasis tune, that's well structured and catchy. It's not a classisc, but it should do better than the competition this week, i.e. Crazy Frog's - Popcorn,from the Ctrazy Hits Album, which although catchy enough, you should know by now it'll drive you insane!!!
	Gwen Stefani - Cool Another hit fromthe massively successful album - Love Angel Music Baby. This is a well balanced ballad that rolls along gently untill it manages to get under you skin.
	Kubb - Remain Great rock sound from this London four piece. Lyrics and delivery with rock 'n' roll attitude.
	The Rakes - Work, Work, Work (Pub, Club, Sleep) Stylish, bright breezy pop. Single is good - not outstanding - but would like to hear more
	The Common Redstarts - Save it for your friends Raw and fresh new talend from Edinburgh. It's fairly energetic guitar based fayre. It's catchy but not very layered, so after a couple of plays I was getting a bit bored. A band with potential though and decent overall sound.
	Lisa Miskovsky - Lady Stardust Country orientated pop - not quite move over shania, but pretty good overall. Lisa is a bit of a star already in native Sweden and the feel good factor of this single should establish her as a firm favourite in the UK too - oh apparently she was until recently in Sweden's Olympic snowboarding squad - wow, a lady of many talents!.
	Sugashak - Sunshine Daze This is a classic made into a hot summer hit - bring on the sun and the booze!!! great track
	Jack Johnson - Good Poeple Good People', one of the stand-out tracks from his third and most recent album, 'In Between Dreams', which has been wining rave reviews worldwide. I'ts fairly light, very melodic and relaxed.
	Shameless - Outa My Face This sounds good but is just trying to rip off the Streets success, so for that reason I have to say try again.
	The Duke Spirit - Love is an unfamiliar name An excellent mish mash of 60's soul and 70's punk, layered with Liela Moss' distinguished vocals
	Lucie Silvas - The Game is Won Lucie Silvas has been creating a bit of a storm since her album 'Breathe In'. She's competition for the likes of Katie Melua and Joss Stone, but this track is a pop ballad that starts off sounding a bit ABBA ish but then seems to loose it's way. Not bad, but hopefully there'll be better to come
	Killers - Smile Like You Mean It Fantastic chorus. An excellent single from an excellent band. The more you play it the better it sounds.
	BodyRockers- I like the Way BodyRockers are Dylan Burns and Kaz James. 'I like the Way' is from the forthcomig album and is a great anthemic dance / pop sound. It's got a thumping bass & drum intro, very bouncy and undualating. Already causing a stir and you can see why. 	Rachel Stevens - Negotiate With Love It's nice to hear from Rachel ion the charts again, and to be honest I like this one, her tracks seem to have an unusual sound to them which is tending to give her the edge over other artists in the charts at the mo. A hit me thinks!!
	Michael Bublé - Home Hot on the heels of his second album 'It's Time', Michael Bublé has released his new single 'Home'. He is similar in style to 'Jamie Callum' or former brat pack stars such as 'Sinatra' although, closer to Callum than Sinatra in terms of style and charisma. 	Kristiran Leontiou - Fast car Weird, becasue is sounds just like Tracey Chapman's version. I don't think it adds anything to the orignal though. It could do well as it's a great song and it'll probably launch his other material, but it's not the most exciting track for a single.
	British Sea Power - It ended on an Oily Stage First single from the album 'Open Season'. A Solid pop track with swirling melodies and good lyrics. Nice opening guitar work. It's a little 'echo and the bunnymen', which is great by me!
	Kamil - Warning feat. Mykill Miers Kamil is part of the 'Altered Soul' movement which is mean't to 'entice the conscious minded individual as well as the trendy, top 40 listener'. Well I don't know about that, to me it sounds a littlle like Destiny Child. It's true that Kamil's style is smooth and intoxicating, but the feat. 	Ocean Colour Scene - free my name The boys from Birmingham are back, with a stunning first single off their soon to be released album 'A hyperactive workout for the flying squad. This should be a hit nad put the boys back in the charts where they should be.
	The Sweet Chap - Girl with the curl mmm not bad this, quite melodic with good lyrics and the vocals are quite strong. Maybe one to watch this one. Have a listen for yourself [windows media player]
	Moby - Lift me up The little guys back witha stunning single that doesn't feature samples and that cahnge aside it still sounds fab! Can't wait for the album
	Shania Twain - Don't 'Don't' is taken from Shania's double platinum selling 'Greatest Hits' album which was released in November 2004. This is a gentle ballad that is mellow and catchy. A little Radio 2, but nevertheles a top song from a top artist. 	Stereophonics - Dakota Well what can I say other than brilliant, wasn't too impressed with the stuff on the last album. But this is brilliant !!! Bring on the album !!! Utter class
	Atomic Kitten - Cradle Light R&B offering from the kittens. This proceeds of this one will go to support international aid and development charity World Vision's 24 hour Famine your fundraiser. Money raised wil go to support children orphaned by HIV / Aids
	Aberfeldy - Love is an Arrow Aberfeldy's third single from the critically acclaimed debut album - Young Forever. Jangly light pop - just in time for Valentines day.
	James Yorkston and The Athletes - Shipwreckers James Yorkston and The Athletes release the first single from their acclaimed album, Just Beyond the River. ‘Shipwreckers’ comes in the form of a new mix by renowned producers Bacon and Quarmby.It’s a storming story of lovers entwined, watching the lights of the shipwrecks out at sea, whose movements magnify and mirror the lovers’ secret meeting.
	Blue & Kool And The Gang, Lil' Kim Blue don't add anything at all to this otherwise brilliant song.
	Ashlee Simpson- LALA The second single from the successful debut album 'Autobiography'. A tongue in cheek track about sexual fantasies - ooh err missus. It's an up tempo raunchy track from this multi-talented artist
	Katie Melua - Belfast / My Aphrodisiac is You On December 20th these two songs from Katie Melua’s award-winning album Call Off The Search will be released as download singles initially through iTunes and then other online sites. Both great tracks - My Aphrodisiac has got a golden oldie swing classic feel to it. 	Joss Stone - Right to be Wrong Soulful track from the 'Mind, Body & Soul' album with the ususal excellent vocals. There's s alight country twang to this one. It'll sureley help her another step up the ladder to International stardom. Top tune.
	Bryan Adams - Flying Catchy Ballad from the 'room service' album. It's fairly un-cool to like Bryan Adams, let's face it, its not exactly 'the darkness', however he has got a niche market that he covers very well. And this track is certainly one of his more likeable ballads.
