The Thrills originate from Ireland but on this album they seem to have acquired an American twang. There have been comparisons made with the likes of the Byrds and the Monkeys (especially when "Big Sur" pinches lyrics from "theme for the Monkeys"but in this case it's a bit of a cheek to compare them to anyone. The band have their own unique sound and talent.

This album is the closest thing to pop that rock can get, especially when you listen songs like "One Horse Town" and "Santa Cruz (You're Not That Far)".

The album features jolly upbeat songs like "Hollywood Kids", "Deckchairs And Cigarettes" and the the brilliantly titled "Your Love Is Like Las Vegas".

The sample track that would make you buy this album is "Big Sur".

This album is going to be huge, which I'm sure the band will be thrilled about! (do you get it, the bands called the Thrills and they would be thrilled about it.........) oh never mind just go and buy the album before your the only who hasn't.
